The IAEI National Symposium and Expert Council Discussion Forum addressed the theme “The Contribution of Islamic Economics to Sustainable National Economic Resilience Amid Global Geopolitical Challenges” as a platform to broaden perspectives and formulate strategic ideas regarding the role of Islamic economics in addressing global economic and geopolitical dynamics.
This forum brought together academics, religious scholars, experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss various dimensions of the Islamic economy, ranging from strengthening economic resilience, optimizing Sharia-compliant financial and social instruments, and empowering communities, to developing an adaptive and sustainable Islamic economic ecosystem.
The presentation materials compiled in this publication contain the ideas, analyses, and recommendations of the speakers regarding the challenges and opportunities for the development of the Islamic economy amid a changing global landscape. These diverse perspectives are expected to serve as a reference for academics, practitioners, regulators, IAEI officials, and the general public who wish to deepen their understanding of the Islamic economy’s contribution to national economic resilience and development.
The publication of this material is also part of the IAEI’s efforts to expand the dissemination of knowledge and strengthen the dialogue between scholarship, policy, and the practice of Islamic economics, so that the ideas developed in this forum can continue to be examined and developed into tangible contributions to an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable Indonesian economy.
