PT Pegadaian (Persero) collaborated with the Association of Indonesian Islamic Economic Experts (IAEI) and Sebelas Maret University (UNS), to hold the kick off of The Gade Sociopreneurship Challenge (TGSC) on (9/10) at the Suhardi Building, UNS Faculty of Economics and Business. TGSC 2023 is a Social Start-up competition for students throughout Indonesia. This competition is an incubation forum for students in creating social benefits through social entrepreneurship.
Eka Pebriansyah, Director of Network, Operations and Sales at PT Pegadaian, in his speech said that the TGSC program is a social entrepreneurship competition for students in Indonesia which reaches more than 7 million. Through this program there are 3 benefits obtained including funding from PT Pegadaian, networking or a network which is a collection of sociopreneurs who can support each other, and mentoring, one of which is through collaboration with IAEI.
In his presentation, Muhammad Fajrin Rasyid as Head of the Social Entrepreneurship Development and Community Empowerment Division of the IAEI DPP explained that sociopreneur is a bridge between business and social to produce positive social value and sustainable business. Apart from that, producing good business is by approaching customer needs.
"By understanding customer problems or needs, we can provide solutions that are developed to answer those problems or needs," said Fajrin Rasyid.
Meanwhile, Elang Gumilang as CEO of Elang Group and Member of the Social Entrepreneurship Development and Community Empowerment Division of the IAEI DPP explained that social problems often occur in communities that are very close to our environment, and through sociopreneurship it can be a forum for providing solutions to problems in society, for example empowerment. waqf for poverty alleviation.
Executive Vice President of PT Pegadaian, Rully Yusuf, explained that Indonesia is currently experiencing a demographic bonus momentum that needs to be encouraged with a platform that can provide growth for the young generation and Indonesia's Golden Generation to realize sustainable social entrepreneurship. The gade Sociopreneurship goes to campus program is the 10th Pegadaian and IAEI roadshow agenda at universities in Indonesia. In this Roadshow, a sociopreneurship seminar was held, TGSC 2023 socialization to increase awareness of students at the University to become young Sociopreneurs with resource persons from local Sociopreneur figures, PT Pegadaian, and IAEI Management both central and regional.
