The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI) officially inaugurated the Regional Executive Board and several Commissariats for the Greater Jakarta area on Thursday (August 20) at the F8 Campus Auditorium of Gunadarma University, Jakarta.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Prof. Mukhamad Najib—serving as both IAEI Deputy Secretary-General and Director of Institutional Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology—who administered the oath of office and ratified the leadership structures for the IAEI Greater Jakarta Regional Board, as well as the Commissariats of Gunadarma University, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, and the Indonesian Institute for Management Development (IPMI).
This inauguration serves to consolidate IAEI’s organization at the regional and university levels while expanding opportunities for collaboration in the development of the sharia economy and finance. Strengthening the organizational structure is expected to broaden IAEI’s role in bridging the interests of academia, industry, and policymakers, particularly in responding to the increasingly dynamic evolution of the sharia economy and finance sectors.
