The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI) together with the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business of UIN Alauddin held an Islamic Economics Teaching Materials Workshop on Wednesday (25/10) at the FEBI Hall Room of UIN Alauddin Makassar. Through the theme "Development of Islamic Economics Teaching Material Framework for Strengthening Superior Human Resources and Global Competitiveness" is expected to encourage efforts to create superior human resources through increasing the competence of teaching staff and teaching material frameworks that are in accordance with the needs, so as to produce a superior and competitive generation in the field of Islamic economics in order to achieve Indonesia's goal of becoming the world's centre of Islamic economics and finance.
Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag. as Chairperson of the Education Division, DPP IAEI, explained various perspectives and historical scientific comparisons of Islamic philosophy and economic thinkers from classical, neo-classical to contemporary times. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr H. Muslimin Kara, M.Ag., Professor of FEBI UIN Alauddin, explained the importance of the history of Islamic economic thought in the implementation of Islamic economics and finance teaching today.
