The Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Islamic Economic Association (DPW IAEI) Central Java encourages the strengthening of collaboration between organizations, local governments, universities, regulators, and the community to accelerate the development of the sharia economy. The synergy became one of the focuses in the agenda of the work meeting and the ratification of the work program of DPW IAEI Central Java.
Head of DPW IAEI Central Java, Prof. Naelati Tubastuvi, emphasizes the importance of compiling a work program that is not just ceremonial, but provides real and sustainable benefits for the community.
"The work program of IAEI Central Java needs to be directed to expand sharia economic literacy, increase community participation, and strengthen the sharia economic and financial ecosystem so that the benefits can be felt more widely and sustainably," said Prof. Naelati
Meanwhile, Prof. Jajang W. Mahri as the Head of Organizational Development, Regional Development and Commissariat, highlighted the importance of consolidating the organization from the central level, regional, to the university commissariate. IAEI has a strategic role in producing research, policy recommendations, and innovative ideas to support the development of the sharia economy.
Prof Jajang also encourages the strengthening of literacy program collaboration with Bank Indonesia (BI), Financial Services Authority (OJK), local government, and other stakeholders, to expand the reach of education and public understanding of sharia economics and finance.
Strengthening the commissariat network in universities is also a strategic agenda. Through the provision and facilitation of the formation of the commissariat, IAEI is expected to be more able to involve lecturers, researchers, and students in the development of the sharia economy through research, education, policy advocacy, and community service.
From the institutional side, Prof. Jajang also emphasized the importance of funding support and member participation, including through the management of planned and transparent membership fees. This is necessary to maintain the sustainability of the program and strengthen the independence of the organization.
In line with that, Prof. Wisnu Untoro as the Chairman of the Central Java DPW Board of Trustees, reminded the importance of maintaining the spirit of collaboration and cooperation between administrators. According to him, organizational sustainability requires a spirit of service, thought contributions, and resource support from all members. Thus, IAEI activities do not stop at the institutional agenda, but become part of the effort to provide benefits for the people and society.
With sustainable collaboration, IAEI Central Java is expected to strengthen the role of academics and practitioners in building an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable sharia economic ecosystem.
