The Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI) took part in two Sharia Economics events held in September this year, namely the Zawa Funwalk 2025 initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday (21/9) and the ISEF Family Run 2025 on Sunday (28/9). The presence of IAEI, represented by its board members and secretariat in both events, is a tangible manifestation of collaboration and support for strengthening Islamic economic literacy as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle among the community.
The Zawa Funwalk Kemenag event, which took place in Jakarta, was attended by thousands of participants from various backgrounds, including officials, academics, zakat and waqf communities, the financial industry, associations, and the general public. IAEI participated with a spirit of collaboration, reaffirming its commitment to continue promoting the optimization of zakat, waqf, and Islamic social finance instruments as pillars of national economic development.
Meanwhile, at the ISEF Family Run 2025, which is part of the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2025 series, IAEI once again demonstrated its active participation. This family run event not only promotes sportsmanship and togetherness, but also serves as a means of campaigning for a halal and sustainable lifestyle.
IAEI emphasized that participation in these two events is part of its strategy to expand the reach of sharia economic education to the public. IAEI wants to be closer to the community, not only through academic and policy forums, but also through fun, healthy, and inclusive activities.
IAEI's participation in the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Zawa Funwalk and ISEF Family Run 2025 also strengthens its synergy with various stakeholders, including the government, Islamic financial institutions, and community groups. It is hoped that this momentum will provide new energy in realizing Indonesia as the center of the global Islamic economy and finance.
